We first met 50 years ago when your Dad interviewed me and gave me a job in his section at the Council. It wasn't long after this I was sitting with his 3 little girls watching him play football at Bata's. Baby-sitting the 3 of you when Mum and Dad went out on a Saturday night.
Your Dad was one of life's good guys who would always do you a good turn if he was able to. I can remember lots of occasions he helped me out, both at work and in my private life.
On the infrequent occasions we have met over recent years he always spoke about his 3 girls and your mum, he was so proud of you all.
Rest in peace, Clive.
